Going Through the Motions?
Are you tired of going through the motions? There is a Christian song by Matthew West called "Going through the Motions". The chorus goes like this:
I don't want to go through the motions
I don't want to go one more day
Without your all consuming passion inside of me
I don't want to spend my whole life asking
What if I had given everything
Instead of going through the motions?
Are you tired of going through the motions? Do you want that all consuming passion inside of you that is burning to know Jesus on a more personal level. Join us on September 12th from 9am to 5pm in the fellowship hall for a Back to Basics seminar. Pastor Ed will be taking us back to the basics of the Lutheran faith. Lunch and snacks will be provided so come out and enjoy some food, fellowship and be one of the faithful that is growing in the Lord and burning with a passion to live for HIM. Then join us for adult Bible classes on Sunday beginning September 13th. We will be offering an adult Bible class on Revelation and a second class that will be studying the same stories that the kids are learning. So don't just drop off the kids. Bring the kids and stay for one of the Bible classes and grow together as a family in the Lord. You don't have to have kids to come to either Bible class. We all need to be in God's Word so that we can do as II Timothy 2:15 states, "Be diligent to present yourselves approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth." So stop being a pew potato and come and join us as we grow in God's Word together and be filled with a passion for Him. Be sure to let us know you are coming so we can plan for enough food and supplies. Don't go through life asking, "What if I had given everything instead of going through the motions?"
