Our Beliefs

We greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  It is in the name of Jesus that we live, grow, and spread the good news of what He has done.  St. Mark is Jesus' church.  He bought it with His own blood when He died on the cross.  It is His cross, and the forgiveness won there, that we turn to daily in repentance, and weekly in the Divine Service of worship.  As Jesus' church, we also celebrate daily His resurrection from the dead.  It is in His resurrection that we live as new creatures, joyfully doing the good works He has prepared for us to do.
The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LC-MS) and St. Mark Lutheran Church and Preschool of Saginaw invite into their membership all who believe and trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and who wish to live as His disciples by obeying His Word and showing His love.
We believe that as we experience God's Love through our daily lives, we are called to express this love to the world in our relationships and through our worshipping community.
We are called and commissioned to make disciples of all nations.  Through the work of the Holy Spirit, the particular gifts each of us has been given as the members of the Body of Christ can be used to reach out and care for, grieve and celebrate with, and help people grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Our Mission Statement

We, the members of St Mark Lutheran Church, believe that the Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - has created, redeemed, and called us individually and together as a congregation. We will grow in the knowledge of His love through regular worship attendance, involvement in the Sacraments, continued education and fellowship in His Word. We will reach out to the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost.
